This is the perfect custom built all around striper fishing, flounder fishing, crappie fishing or duck hunting boat around.
It drafts very shallow (less than a foot) and has relatively low sides so you are down near the water when sitting and fishing. This boat will run 40+mph on calm waters.
THIS IS THE MOST ROOMY AND STABLE BOAT I HAVE EVER OWNED
THE FLOOR PLAN: Designed for roominess. The back of the boat is wide open to walk around, put chairs or coolers, etc. Seating is up front with top of the line matching green and tan seats. The captains chair has an offset swivel base so you can move it to the side and back for crappie light fishing. The passenger seat has a moveable base to anywhere on the boat. Equipped with 20 gallon aluminum gas tank and top side filler cap.
THE HULL : This boat is bulletproof. The hull is constructed of aircraft grade aluminum and were made to withstand the rigors of combat. The floor and nose are completely filled with marine grade closed cell foam, decked with marine grade plywood, and sealed with an industrial polyurea. The all aluminum deck is also coated with polyurea and the console is positioned so that you can steer the boat as easily standing up as sitting down. The original hull was 18.5' and 6.5' wide. We added a back deck and transom with foam filled floatation pods that are 1.5' long.
THE MOTOR: DT150 Super Six Industrial Suzuki with stainless steel performance propeller. Starts, runs and trims flawlessly.
FISHFINDER: Equipped with a 535 Humminbird with upgraded brass thru-hull transducer.
THE TRAILER: Double axel low ride trailer with aluminum alloy matching wheels and a spare. Non-skid coating on fenders. I like this trailer because it make loading gear into the boat a cinch, and the dog can hop in on his own.
ACCESSORIES: The boat is equipped with 5 house style outlets for plugging in accessories like crappie lights. Just clip the clip ons off and put on house plugs, works great and keeps the boat unclusttered.
THE HISTORY: This boat was commisioned by the USArmy in 1959. It is a ponton bridge boat made to link with others and planking to create bridges across rivers. With our customizations it is now a great striper guide boat or whatever you want it to be.
