French built " karate America " 33 ft sloop. 9'9" beam.
- crossed Atlantic to sell in america. Ideal ocean cruiser.
- i live aboard with wife and baby and have sailed the bahamas twice with her.
- built in 1972 which means the fiberglass is thick as they were unfamiliar with is strength at that point.
- 6 ft draft (lead keel)
- rebuilt 24hp fairyman diesel in great working condition
- 45gallon water under v-berth. Foot pump to sink
- 20+ gallon stainless diesel.
- 2 Trojan 6V batteries in series and 1 glass matt 12V engine battery
- 85W solar panel on transom arch. (enough for lights, music and electronics onboard)
- 700 W inverter to 110Vpower
- only ever used the main and %150ish jib, however there are 3 more sails.
- storm sail, extra jib, and spinnaker.
- roller furling jib, and main with 2 reefing points.
- monitor wind vane (auto pilot)
- oversized cqr anchor with 70+ ft of chain and plenty of rhode ( haven't dragged yet, knock on wood)
- whisker pole
- center cockpit, helm driven
- 2 aft cabin berths ( not full rooms just sleeping quarters)
- pilot berth on starboard side when entering galley along with nav station
- drop down table converts to another double berth.

- 1 head aft of V-berth on port side with door closing to main cabin.

- older furuno gps ( I always navigated via handheld garmin)
- electric bilge pump and large Edson manual bilge pump.
-2 burner gimbaled propane stovetop, and 20lb tank on transom. Stove top covered buy removable counter that can be used aft of the v-berth entrance when cooking for extra counter space.

I would have stayed on her but a wife and baby meant need for a bigger boat. Just sailed her back from Georgetown Bahamas, April 2011, and still living aboard while working on the new boat. Currently asking $15,000 but all reasonable offers will be considered. Located on a mooring at dinner key marina . Though she could use a touch of cosmetic love, This vessel is a true open ocean ready sailboat and I am excited to meet her new owners and create a friendship as I have many connections now for replacement parts and anything she may need in the future.
