This filter allows the user to visually see the filter element and any contaminants and particles that were filtered out of the fluid system. This helps to determine if the contaminants and particles are from normal use or from bearings or components excessively wearing in machinery or the engine supplying the filter assembly. The sight window also allows a visual inspection of the fluid pumping through the filter, which helps in determining the condition of the fluid. When oil or non transparent fluid is being filtered, the filter needs to be emptied to be able to inspect the filter element. This filter assembly can be quickly emptied using compressed air and an air chuck for filling tires. An air bottle works great, just apply a small shot of air to the air fitting on the side of the inlet opening. The fluid will empty out of the filter assembly trough the outlet opening in seconds exposing the filter element and the contaminants and particles. This is possible without draining or leaking any oil, unbolting or loosening any fasteners or fittings and you don’t loose any fluid out of the fluid system.

Having a filter that you can visually see the filter element saves time and money because the user does not have to clean or replace the filter unless it needs to be cleaned. The filter element is reusable, just clean it and put it back in. Twelve radial groove openings operate like twelve individual filters enclosed into one filter assembly. This allows more fluid to pass through the filter assembly without restriction, even as the filter element is plugging up with dirt and contaminates. The filter assembly also is equipped with a pressure relief valve. If the filter pressure rises due to the filter element plugging up, the relief valve will open allowing fluid to pump through the filter assembly. This will help prevent motor failure caused by the filter restricting oil flow.
