1967 CHRIS CRAFT “COMMANDER” 35 The Chris-Craft 360 Commander, also known as the 36 Sports Cruiser in earlier years, is a classic Chris-Craft model known for its durability, comfortable ride, and timeless design. Produced from 1973 to 1986, it was a popular choice for both fishing and cruising, with various interior layouts offered. A wide cockpit protects from the weather by a standard hardtop with a large foredeck for sun lounging, a popular feature of larger ChrisCraft yachts. In the main cabin, a roomy dinette is opposite a long lounge making a fine midship entertainment area. There’s sleeping room for six, and headroom that gives six-footers almost five inches to spare. The lounge becomes upper and lower berths, and the dinette converts to a double berth. Just forward is an L-shaped galley with an under-counter refrigerator-freezer and electric range with oven. The spacious lavatory facilitates a shower. Vberths and a wardrobe are in the private forward stateroom. Twin-screw 427s Ford engines power this classic. The 35’ Commander is a no-nonsense boat. It is big enough and comfortable enough to run in good sized seas, and it takes those good-sized seas seriously. For those who are looking for a classic well recognized beauty with a good reputation in the boating industry, this boat is for you!
