Asking $6,900 for a 1975 Pearson Sailing Sloop located in Harrison Township, MI 48045
Keel: winged
Hull Material: Fiberglass
Primary Fuel Type: Diesel
Hull ID Number: PEA48751M751
Enjoy the peace and serenity of sailing the Lakes in this comfortable sailing sloop. Visit the islands. Take your time.
Model: 30 ft Pearson Sailing Sloop with auxiliary Universal Atomic 4 engine. Yellow Hull. Brown trim on lazy jack system and Roller furling. Two manual compasses and an auto-helm (which steers the boat to a compass point automatically), a depth sounder and knot meter. Main sail has a lazy jack cover which the sail falls into and the jib or head sail is roller furling (it rolls around a spindle or foil.) Both lazy jack and roller furling make it easier and neater to both deploy and take in the sails. Safety equipment includes a VHF Radio, Man Overboard sling, two self-inflating life jackets and 6 floatation cushions. Steered by a tiller. 30ft long and 9ft beam (widest part of the boat). Has a winged keel with a 5ft draft (i.e. needs a minimum of 5 ft to float due to the keel).
This boat has only been used for cruising (never racing) and we have done more than 12 long distance cruises lasting 3 or more weeks on Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. So the boat is well set up for cruising and has only sailed in fresh water, never salt water. The boat is "tender" and "trim" meaning she sails well in most wind conditions and has been well maintained.
Inside is a double V-berth in the bow with a V-shaped foam topper. A head (toilet) and small wash basin behind the V-berth. The main cabin has a single berth which can be converted to a double. An electric ignition two burner alcohol stove (for cooking when anchored out with no shore power) and a small microwave when docked with shore power. A small galley (kitchen area) and all the necessary pots, pans and cooking equipment. Also, plates, dishes, cups, plastic "glasses" and eating utensils and a larger wash basin. Note: the only piece of equipment that will need attention is the refrigerator which quit last year. There is an AM/FM/Disk Player in the main cabin and a small standalone electric heater. There are also fitted carpets for the main cabin area and head which we also store at home.
The engine and water lines have anti-freeze in them, and the engine oil was changed in October 2024 when the boat was lifted onto the cradle. The engine is ready to start with the antifreeze in. The water lines will need flushing before the water can be used but do not use for drinking.
Note: The boat is covered by 3 plastic tarps for winter storage at Lambrecht Marina (See the photo). The boom, mast and roller-furling spindle/foil are all on wooden holders on top of the boat. The main sail is inside the main cabin. The jib/head sail is stored at our home, together with the electronic equipment. Ready to be transported upon the sale. Services are available to help with launching and rigging.
Charity Owned, proceeds benefit children & families in extreme poverty.
