2003 Hydro-Sports Lightning 202DC (true deep-V - 22 degree deadrise!) Dual Console with high freeboard ("dry" ride) with Capt. leaning post and integrated swim platform with SS stern ladder. Includes aluminum tandem axle trailer and lots of extras.
Quiet torquey Suzuki DF140 4-stroke (might be considered by some as too small but considering 32 knots; quietness; mileage; perfectly tuned height and selected prop, this mid to low rpm get on-plane was perfect for my excursion time with guests (although boat can handle 250hp max, many were sold with 150hp 2 and 4 strokes). Boat and outboard have 790 hours. This is both a family and fishing boat. Lightning Series, Vector type hull construction (without bronze thru-hulls and kevlar layer) very comparable to Grady White in size/class range . All fiberglass, no wood throughout vessel construction. Self bailing cockpit (deck above water level). Stern built-in swim-deck design. Hydraulic steering. Rigged by Owner/Engineer/Capt for low maintenance. Very nice aluminum double-axle trailer and hundreds in boat equipment.
Well cared for. Original owner. (202dc manufactured from 1987 to 2010 with this specific design of the 202dc from 2000 to 2010). Very comfortable safe, family friendly (rough-water when need be) boat in 20' range comparable to Grady White, research). Rides high, smooth and dry, can easily go off shore. Includes all aluminum dual axle trailer with torsion bar suspension (no leaf springs to rust), Turbo Lube easy maint hubs, and trailer guides.
All boat, engine and trailer manuals included. Boat, engine, and trailer very well maintained. (New tires on trailer.)
32 knots with light Suzuki DF140 4-stroke (boat can take up to 250hp max.) and specifically sized 3-blade SS Suzuki prop.
Port console has head (port-a-potty) and starboard console contains twin batteries with dual switch. Very large 104 gallon gas tank and 36 gal fresh or saltwater live well, 13 gal freshwater tank with oversized pressure pump, hose, and spray nozzle for washdown.
Swing-down breakaway SS stern ladder on swim platform. Skid resistant deck.
Center floor compartment very large and self-draining. Rear original handrails moved slightly forward to eliminate original tripping hazard (design flaw?). Aluminum manual jack plate for perfect prop height/tuning complete.
Glove box, hidden storage for valuables, and tackle storage, cooler seat with tie-downs (Igloo 48qt marine cooler with top pad/seat - never mounted).
Front bow under-seat storage, passenger folding lounge chair under storage, below deck ancillary storage (skis, inflatables, bow boarding ladder when beaching, big fish, etc).
Bimini fold down top for shade. Many SS grab rails. Comfortable seating for 6. (8 passenger certified or 1200 lbs of gear maximum). 2715 lbs dry weight w/o engine.
(Note: Last image is with all cushions/bolsters removed.)
-lower ski and ladder storage
