Available for sale takeover as of June 2022 (includes sales to US residents).
We are taking offers in the mid 400s ($USD) for SV Elpis, a Dolphin 460 performance blue water catamaran. We are currently cruising the Bahamas and will be spending the hurricane season in the US, specifically the Chesapeake.
For more information or offers please contact me on dustin.welbourne@gmail.com as this thread will not be monitored.
Please note, that I will not respond to lowball offers at all.
Brief specs:
Dolphin hull #16
Length at water line: 14m (46') Width: 7.4m (24.3')
Draft:
Hull 0.8m (2.6')
Prop/ skeg 1.10m (3.6')
Rudder 1.25m (4')
Daggerboard fully extended 2.3m (7.5')
Air draft: 19.5m (64')
Cabins: 3
Heads: 2
Showers: 2 freestanding
Engines: 2 inboard, 40HP each (Volvo Penta D2-40)
Steering: Hydraulic, single helm wheel
The boat is fitted-out for extended cruising and self-sufficiency.
It has 1.5kW of solar and 1000Ah of lithium batteries for the house bank and water maker.
We typically do all cooking on the electric stove and oven, but the gas is still installed for emergencies (or big dinners).
Every system on the boat was attended to in some way during the refit. Some items were simply purchased new, like the tender and outboard engine which were splashed Jan 2020, to refurbishing systems like the hot water system that needed a new element, thermostat, and wiring loom.
We will be selling the boat with all the spares, tools, and some sporting equipment such as the standup paddleboard and fishing gear.
We have lots of pics and details of works done on our boat page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ToSeaWithNewEyes
The layout posted here is not the exact layout of our boat, but pretty close.
All pictures here are taken in the last month (hence why the boat is a bit of a mess... we are liveaboards).
